CRUSHfanzine: Issue #8 LUCAS VALERDI

CRUSHfanzine announces the release of their new issue: “LUCAS VALERDI”.
The new obsession of CRUSHfanzine centers around Lucas Valerdi, a young musician with a new wave edge and a rockabilly sensibility. Due to his wild sense of humor, bird tattoos and willingness to be the latest obsession, Lucas was the perfect fit. “Lucas Valerdi” features over 130 pages and custom advertisements that depict him in scenarios ranging from performing live wih his band to being beaten to a pulp.
“Lucas Valerdi” is narrated through a series of chapters: objects he desires, short fiction, song lyrics, family photos and a special portfolio featuring shoot shoots that each pay homage to the songs of Johnny Cash.
All the contributors are connected through their shared artistic obsession of Lucas. Each artist was presented with a photograph of Lucas to ignite their creative process and produce original work. In the end, their obsession become our obsession.
CRUSHfanzine’s “Lucas Valerdi” will be launched with events in resident cities New York and Paris. For the Paris event, galerie de l’hotel Jules et Jim will hold a group show and sale of limited edition photographs
Highlights of this issue include:
Photography by Jerome Lobato, Betrand le Pluard, Damien Blottière, Nicolas Wagner and Jacopo Benassi.
